We, at Cinnsom Heritage Potpourri, have decided to spread this concept of praying for the peace of Jerusalem through our "Jacob's Ladder" line of original colorfully hand painted wood plaques. All of our unique, artistic plaques are produced in Beit El, Israel, where God commanded Abraham in the book of Genesis to build an altar, and where Jacob dreamt his prophetic dream. "Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem: They who love thee shall prosper; peace be within thy walls and prosperity within thy palaces." (Psalms 122:6) Encouraged by divine inspiration, King David composed a myriad of Psalms more than 3,000 years ago. Today these inspiring Psalms not only help mankind understand the value of prayer, but they encourage the expression of prayer from one's heart. Psalm number 122 describes King David's joy in the glory of Jerusalem and the regular pilgrimages that were made to the Holy Temple where supplications, praises and thanks were offered up to the Lord. This Psalm also emphasizes the importance of praying for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love and pray for Jerusalem will benefit from its sanctification. They will reward them with prosperity, peace and tranquility. Everyone can play a part in helping the Divine Presence return to its full glory in Israel.
